An exciting challenge, in three acts
Three months after June’s Le Mans 24 Hours, Team Peugeot Total is looking forward to contesting the newly-created Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC), the first round of which will be hosted by Silverstone. Despite the anticipated fierce competition, the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP is hungry for victory...

SO NEAR, YET SO FAR
An assertive run by Bryan Bouffier in the Czech Republic saw a Peugeot 207 S2000 take the lead with two stages remaining in the 2010 Barum Zlin Rally, round nine of this year’s IRC. The Frenchman unfortunately then lost time following an off and had to settle for 10th spot. Another 207 S2000 in the expert hands of Kris Meeke finished the event in fourth place. The weekend’s result brings a halt to an enviable run of IRC crowns for Peugeot who will now not be able to take its (...) |

Into rival territory!
The ninth round of the 2010 IRC takes teams to the Barum Czech Rally Zlin in the Czech Republic, home of the biggest rivals of the Peugeot 207 S2000 and its drivers! This explains why the French make’s representatives have set their sights so high for the weekend, although their expectations are tinged with a certain degree of lucidity.
Kris Meeke (Peugeot UK): cautiously ambitious On his way to claiming last year’s IRC crown, Kris Meeke finished second on the 2009 Barum Rally (...) |

I R C - RALLY ACORES (July 15-17)
After Bruno Magalhaès’ victory driving a 207 S2000 on the 2008 Rally Açores and Kris Meeke’s win 12 months ago, again in a 207 S2000, Peugeot’s chances once again remain largely in the hands of the Portuguese and British pair this time round.
Volcano rims and dry stone walls "Last year, I had to get out an atlas to find out where the Azores actually were," admits Kris Meeke. "What I discovered was a magnificent island situated in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The (...) |

Thierry Neuville secures his first podium finish
This time last year, the then 21-year old Thierry Neuville caused a sensation in Ypres by figuring as high as fourth overall on his maiden outing with the 207 Super 2000, although his run ended in retirement. Twelve months later, the Belgian youngster was able to celebrate what was still only his third appearance in the car by taking Peugeot Belgium-Luxemburg’s colours to the third step of the podium.

In that time, has been won every year by a 207 Super 2000. This time round, Peugeot seems to be in particularly strong position to maintain its unbeaten record on the event.

« WE’LL PLAY THE DECIDER NEXT YEAR »
In 2009 Peugeot took the ‘double’ at the 24 Heures du Mans. In 2010 Peugeot was up against a redoubtable adversary. The decider will be played next year, promised Olivier Quesnel, Director of Peugeot Sport.
Buoyed up by their four consecutive ‘doubles’ and the work undertaken over the last year, Team Peugeot Total arrived serene, fit and determined to take up the challenge of the 2010 24 Heures du Mans. During qualifying the performance of the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP (...) |
